Lots of local and news events happened this month. The biggest two were the Occupy Wall Street movement and Steve Jobs’ seemingly sudden, but not unexpected death. Both events received a lot of press, although Jobs’ death almost immediately fell off the radar a day or two after it happened! In local news, Ontario had another election, and the Liberals won but will now form a smaller government than last time. YRT also went on strike at the end of the month. GO buses almost went on strike at the same time, but a last minute deal averted that, which is lucky for York residents because if they both went on strike, there would be no way for York residents to get into the city via public transit! The strike has affected me but luckily, I can take the TTC to work (although it costs twice as much per day).

In the evenings, I’ve been doing some development, working on new features for Condado and enhancing the server code that runs my Gas site. I think this cut into my blogging, because there was a week and a half where I didn’t blog anything! I think I almost watched every Leafs game this month, except for a few Saturday games when I wasn’t at home. Haven’t made much progress in my Be-A-Pro career though.
