Summer’s half over now that July is done. While we didn’t really have summer weather in June, the weather went a bit summer-crazy in July. The temperature hit the low-thirties, with humidity in the high-thirties, and then a heat wave hit to bring the humidity up to 50°C one day! There was a humidex of 40°C when I was going to work before 8AM!

With the heat, I didn’t feel like doing anything; even when I am indoors and in AC! I only thing I spent consistent time on two things this month, one was to plan our vacation next month and the other was playing Android games (but more blogging about that later).

This month, Google Plus bubbled with hype and then fizzled out when everyone realized that it can’t replace Facebook when the people you want to stalk don’t use it!

July was deal-making month. I think the NFL was locked out for awhile, but they settled things before the lockout would greatly affect the season. The NBA is still locked out with some players signing in Europe (without an escape clause). The US government dealt with the threat of a shutdown due to debt, and the Europe markets tried to make a deal to avert further financial crisis in Greece and Italy.
