Oops, I realized that in my rush to go off to china, I neglected to blog about my Conference Final predictions nor give my prediction for the Stanley Cup winner. Like most of Canada, I would have (incorrectly) picked Edmonton.

I blame the Edmonton loss on the fact that I wasn’t able to watch most of the games. I landed during game 5, totally oblivious as to what was going on. Actually, if it were not for a quick view of the game 4 highlights, I wouldn’t even have knew that the series was still going on. So since I started rooting for the Oilers again, they scored shorthanded in overtime (I know this because they announced it over the loudspeaker as I was claiming my luggage).

Game 6 was another win, and once I finally remembered that the game was on last night, Pisani scored to bring Edmonton within a goal. So I guess the rest of Canada should thank me for paying attention and bringing Edmonton back from a 1-3 deficit.

Anyways, in the last 2 rounds, my record was 2-1 and my overall record for this season is 8-6, a bad 57%.
