When did I goto Shanghai? Oh right, that was about 3 weeks ago. Anyways, due to going to France I have a backlog in blogging.

Shanghai is a huge city in China, about 20 million people. Some say that it is similar to New York. I suppose you could say that, but it seems more Chinese than American for me. The first night, we went out to catch some of the night lights. I had already blogged about the huge waste of power in these Chinese cities, and this is another one of them. We went The Bund, which is the boardwalk region in both day and night, and the day view was ugly. The night view was alright, but I think it was more makeup than beauty.

Anyways, looking back in my book, it looks like we did some museums, shopping in various markets, Jade Budda Temple, Old Chinatown and an acrobat show. The acrobat show is pretty neat, but I have seen this sort of stuff before. If you haven’t however, it’s worth checking out. It’s like the Chinese version of Cirque de Soleil without the neat sets and costumes.
