What did you learn in high school science? I hope it was enough to answer these 10 questions that people in the know expect high school graduates to be able to answer. In a way, it is similar to the excrutiatingly difficult Grade 8 exam I blogged previously, but well, not as hard.

I’ve been out of (high) school for a few years now so I don’t know whether I should be embarassed at my 5 and a half correct answers (oops, chemical signals in the body too). The ones I didn’t know were: why is the sky blue?, why are viruses/bacteria hard to kill?, oldest fossils?, and why we put salt on sidewalks?. Although the fossils question seems to be a trivia question rather than something you would learn in Science class.
