i have my first photos of 2005 up from a recent class gathering to celebrate january birthdays. more photo opportunities next week when we have the fourth year design symposium. yup that’s it, public disclosure for all our patentable ideas so we won’t be able to sell our brilliant work for $86 million.

i tried one of those toasted deli sandwiches at mcdonalds and was severely disappointed. first, i hadn’t had mcdonalds since coming back from seattle, and i was surprised at how expensive mcdonalds has gotten (and i thought seattle mcdonalds were expensive, maybe they’re on par). anyways, the meat of the story is that i might as well just goto mr. sub (canadian content) and get a sub; that’s all you’re getting and you don’t even get to pick your toppings. $5 and another $2 for sides+drink? no thanks.

in december, my web host tripled the bandwidth on my hosting package and just this month they quadrupled the disk space. so now, i have 120gb of bandwidth and 2.4gb of disk space. what am i supposed to do with this? any ideas? oh i also found out that they support ssl for pop3, smtp and ftp which is awesome.

there’s some IRS thing happening on the day of IRC which i don’t know if i want to go to. it’s $25 to goto fed hall (the club on campus) with a whole lot of other engineers and drink and touch the “tool”. oh also, if you’re wearing anything that’s not black; it will get ripped off by crazy engineers. anyways, it seems like a pretty expensive and stupid event, especially considering there are so many other grad events around that time. i want to skip it but i have to go if a lot of people are going (sheep) and you get a (semi-)deal if you buy into all the grad events. so what’s the verdict folks?
