one companies’ great idea is to backup data on the moon since various different acts of god may destroy your data on earth (ie nuclear war, skynet taking over). i think what they’re forgetting is that the moon isn’t immune to these events. even if they were going to store the data someplace equivalent to the shelters that the us government has in colorado, that’s no guarantee that your data will be safe. look at what happened in the time machine (movie not book), the moon’s orbit decayed and it crashed into the earth! let’s see your data survive that.
