Last night, a bunch of the usual suspects+a couple of people we hadn’t seen for awhile met up at Sam & Petes. Who was there? I’m glad you asked. There were 14 of us in total, including Ian, Dave Zach, Peter, Rishi, Ben, Nelson, Victor, Horace, Charlie, Ryan, Richard, and Danny Lem. I’ve never been to this place, but apparently it is pretty well known and popular nowadays. It’s basically a bar and the food’s pretty affordable.
The draw for us (although I didn’t know till we got there) was that there was live music in the form of dueling pianos. No, it wasn’t really a circus act but more of a cover band comprised of well, two pianos. They took requests which was pretty cool because they must have a huge range of material. They were playing oldies, and new stuff like Killers and Coldplay. We sent up some requests (Bohemian Rhapsody, YMCA), but they never played our requests. I guess we should have slipped some money as well.
