I don’t like to use flash, but on occasion it is necessary. I’ve tried it a couple of times, but the results are never good. I was kind of perplexed by this because I don’t get good results even when I use D lenses (they pass focal length information back to the camera so that the light reaches the focus area at the proper time). Anyways, playing around with the settings today, I realized that my flash had been set to 1/16 instead of TTL so it was (usually) always firing at incorrect times. I fixed that so hopefully my future flash photography will be better.
