everyone’s all hot and bothered about madonna’s kiss on the mtv music awards with britney spears and christina aguilera, but it shouldn’t be that big a deal. the industry’s gotten to a point that musicians should be considered actors (lip syncing, choreographed dances, canned responses); so having females kissing isn’t really that big of a deal (cruel intentions springs to mind and i’m sure there are a lot of other movies where this happens). britney’s no virgin, christina’s dirrty, madonna’s all about selling herself; considering this was the mtv music awards, it’s almost predictable that something like this would happen.
