there’s an article in the toronto star discussing the spread of wifi hotspots in toronto, but i don’t think it acknowledges the problem with selling wireless access. it’s quite an expensive habit to goto a coffee shop, pay $5 for a latte and another $9 for an hour of access. aside from that, if you do end up going online for an extended period of time, you’ll probably tie yourself down by using a power cord. kind of defeats the purpose of being able to roam anywhere with wireless access eh? i guess until better batteries are developed (or maybe wireless power) wifi, like some cell phones wll be for “emergencies” only.
