The commercials for Tim Horton’s new steeped tea doesn’t make sense. It starts under the pretense that the word steeped is what hip kids are using to describe “great” things. How do we get this idea? because the mom’s teenaged son describes her tea as being steeped. The mom proceeds to use the word steeped to describe various things around her daily life: her daughter’s outfit, and her (chinese) neighbor’s garden.

Anyways, she proceeds to Timmy’s where she has ordered the tea, she remarks to the barista that this tea is great to which he replies “yeah, it’s steeped”; which tells the tv watcher that the tea is infact called steeped tea. So my question is, how was she able to order this particular type of tea without knowing the name of the tea! The scenario in the commercial doesn’t make sense!
