This month, the <a href=\"archive\/1466\/\">NXE also came out<\/a>.  I like the new, updated look of the dashboard, and the avatars.<\/p>\n<p>The world has been changing, even as we went to a conference about <a href=\"archive\/1461\/\">Changing The World<\/a>.  The first African-American president was elected in the US.  People around the <i>world<\/i> celebrated.  That&#8217;s an historic and momentous event.  It&#8217;s also filled a lot of people with hope and optimism, which is surprising considering that there is a real, visible downturn in the economy now.<\/p>\n<p>This downturn has dropped the Canadian doller back to sub-80&cent; levels compared to the US dollar.  One of the reasons is because the demand for gas has gone down, resulting in gas prices below 8&cent;!
