{"id":1392,"date":"2008-07-06T23:20:03","date_gmt":"2008-07-07T04:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.orangefever.net\/wordpress\/1392\/"},"modified":"2008-07-06T23:20:03","modified_gmt":"2008-07-07T04:20:03","slug":"1392","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.orangefever.net\/wordpress\/1392\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Ladytron Concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was catching up on my feeds last Thursday when I came upon a blog about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harbourfrontcentre.com\/worldroutes\/festivals.cfm?festival_id=2\">Beats, Breaks and Culture festival<\/a> down at the Harbourfront this weekend.  What caught my eye was a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harbourfrontcentre.com\/worldroutes\/festivals.cfm?id=322\">free concert by Ladytron on Friday night<\/a>.  I have their second latest album, <i>Witching Hour<\/i> and enjoy it &#8211; perhaps not as much as other electronic artists, but they are not bad.<\/p>\n<p>What I realized though, through their almost hour-and-a-half set, was that their music is great in the background, but it&#8217;s not as interesting when it&#8217;s the star attraction.  They played a couple of tracks from their latest album, <i>Velocifero<\/i>, but those songs were not as catchy as their previous hits.
