i know that traditionally victoria day is on the 3rd monday of may, but queen victoria’s birthday is actually may 24th (ie today). so shouldn’t we have a long weekend this weekend too? we could make it conditional; if in a particular year, the 24th is anywhere from friday-monday of a week other than the 3rd week, then we get an extra long weekend. sadly, i still don’t know how to calculate the probability of that conditional event happening.
