With a blink, one twelth of the twelth year of this century is done. It certainly felt very quick to pass. I’d attribute that to two things, one because the weather was quite warm – it felt like November with only one major snow storm and a couple of dustings. The second reason is because I started my new job so there were a lot of new experiences, people, processes and things that I had to get acquainted with.

In my spare time, I started playing Star Trek Online because it’s a free MMO. But in a few weeks, I have already started getting tired of it. There are too many “scan x things” or “destroy x ships” type quests – in fact the only thing that is keeping me playing is this weird duty roster system where you can use your ship’s crew to complete missions and gain resources and items. But to what purpose? I don’t know – it will probably die away like Glitch did for me. Playing this has taken away time from some of my other hobbies. I haven’t worked on my Monopoly Deal clone for quite a bit, and have a few other App either bouncing around my head that I haven’t gotten around to implement yet.

This month we started doing some more shopping for the house. What we desperately need are chairs for our dining table, but we didn’t make any progress on that. But we ended up with a new armchair, light for the living room and some art. It’s still progress I guess.

Most of the news this month has been generated by the Republican race in the US. There are still tensions in the Middle East as well. I also felt like I bought a lot of little things this month, and it seemed like there were a lot of sales (January is the new Boxing week?)
