I bought another pair of glasses online. You may remember that I picked out some prescription sunglasses awhile ago for pretty cheap, so cheap that I didn’t even bother claiming them against my insurance. Building upon this experience I bought another pair of white, plastic glasses online.

When I bought my last pair of (insurance claimed) glasses, I did try on a white plastic pair. White is by no means black, so it does look a bit odd (but eye catching). Definitely not something that I would want if I only had one pair of glasses. But for ~$20 shipped with anti-reflection coating, I don’t mind having an extra pair.

I placed an order on April 3^rd, the glasses shipped on 10^th, and arrived in Canada on the 15^th. It got examined at customs and I finally received them on the 17^th. Last time I got taxed, but this time the shipper forgot to write the value so I didn’t get taxed. It was under $20 anyways.

I’m pleasantly surprised with the result. The prescription, like before, is spot on. The last pair of glasses I bought were plastic and I noticed that the edges (of plastic frames) were rather fat by design so I was able to get 1.57 index glass which is just as thick as the frame! Also, the arms on my plastic pair bulge out because the horizontal width is not enough, but this one seems to fit perfectly for the moment. Only time will tell whether I stretch them. But overall, very happy with this purchase.
